
Acer has announced a compact 7-inch Windows handheld with Intel Arc G3 options, a 120 Hz VRR display and battery configurations up to 80 Wh, with EMEA availability planned for November 2026.

Acer has expanded its Windows handheld range with the Predator Atlas 7, a smaller counterpart to the 8-inch Predator Atlas 8 announced earlier in 2026.
The company introduced the new model at IFA in Berlin on September 2, 2026. Acer says the Predator Atlas 7 will reach North America during the fourth quarter of 2026 and EMEA in November. Regional prices have not been announced.
The Predator Atlas 7 uses a 7-inch, 1920 × 1080 IPS-level touchscreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Acer lists a 120 Hz refresh rate, Variable Refresh Rate support, 500-nit brightness and full sRGB coverage.
Its display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus with Acer's listed DXC surface treatment, while a tempered-glass protector is included.
Acer has not published independent game benchmarks, power profiles or sustained performance figures for either configuration. The processor names therefore describe the available hardware tiers, not a verified FPS advantage over existing handhelds.
The Atlas 7 supports up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x-7467 memory and a single PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2280 SSD with capacity up to 1 TB. The full-size 2280 slot is useful because it uses a more common SSD format than the compact drives found in several handheld PCs.
Battery capacity depends on configuration. Acer lists variants with 60 Wh and up to 80 Wh batteries. The larger version weighs under 750 grams, while the 60 Wh configuration is listed below 700 grams.
Those capacities are confirmed specifications, not battery-life measurements. Acer has not supplied controlled gaming runtimes, so practical endurance remains unknown until independent testing is available.
Cooling is handled by two fans. One is an 89-blade metal Predator AeroBlade fan and the other uses a plastic design, combined with internal Vortex Flow channels.
Acer claims the metal fan can improve airflow by at least 10 percent compared with a plastic fan in its internal testing. This is a manufacturer claim rather than an independently reproduced result, and it does not by itself establish lower temperatures or quieter operation.
Control options include full-size analog sticks using either carbon-film or TMR hardware, depending on model. Hall-effect analog triggers, two rear macro buttons, an Xbox Game Bar button and a dedicated PredatorSense button are also listed. The power button incorporates a Windows Hello fingerprint reader.
PredatorSense provides system monitoring, selectable performance modes, RGB controls and access to gameplay settings.
Acer has confirmed the platform, display, storage, memory, battery configurations and regional launch windows, but several purchasing details are still missing.
There is no official regional price, exact configuration list or independent performance evidence. Average FPS, 1% lows, frametimes, device power draw, temperatures, fan noise and gaming battery life should remain unassigned until reproducible tests are available.
The Predator Atlas 7 combines an unusually large battery option with a compact 7-inch display and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Its 1080p resolution and new Intel Arc platform make it interesting on paper, but the real balance between image quality, power limits and battery life cannot yet be judged from Acer's specification sheet.
For EMEA buyers, November 2026 is the date to watch. Pricing and independent testing will determine whether the Atlas 7 can compete with established Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go and MSI Claw models.
